JConcepts is Titanium with the introduction of the 3mm Fin turnbuckle sets designed specifically for style, durability, and performance. The base of the design is centered around a .143" (3.63mm) titanium hex size which gradually tapers down into a 3mm thread base design which accepts the original style Team Associated ball-cups with modification. The focus of the styling surrounds the lengthened adjustment hex area and the "finned" cuts that rotate about the center. The Fin turnbuckles are lightweight, and the original design brings out the glamour and quality that makes titanium one of the most sought-after exotic materials in the world. The JConcepts turnbuckles are produced with left- and right-hand threads with the left being conveniently marked for easy orientation.
Several items indicate a JConcepts equipped vehicle, the Fin turnbuckles are one of those items. Often sampled by the rest of the industry, the JConcepts item is the original, featuring the revolved cuts and delicate machine work. Used by the JConcepts race team including World Champion Spencer Rivkin, ROAR National Champion Dakotah Phend, and legendary champion Ryan Maifield, the Fin turnbuckles are the choice for performance racing applications.
Note:
JConcepts turnbuckle adjustment wrench is offered separately as part # 2234. The burnt blue turnbuckles have intentional sporadic coloring ranging all around the blue spectrum. Team Associated ball-cups are designed for 4/40 size thread. To use the JConcepts heavier duty 3mm, it might be necessary to use a hand drill and open the ball-cups with a 2.8 to 3.2mm drill bit. Test fit the items to be sure, don't overstress the ball-cup plastic material or damage could occur.
